My wife is pregnant and we had some concerns late on a Sunday evening. We called CHI in Dickinson at 1030 pm and talked with Tammy. She was very helpful and understanding on the phone; she advised us to come in so my wife could be checked out. We arrived at the hospital at about 1115 where Tammy was waiting for us at the OB Nurses station. My wife and I were extremely worried about what was going on, but as soon as we got into the room with Tammy that changed. Her level of sincerity and empathy for our situation was something I've rarely ever seen and rivaled only by her level of professionalism. She was honest when she didn't know something, informative about what was going on, and personable. Our worries quickly subsided because we knew we were in good hands with Tammy. By the time we left we were back to being excited at how healthy our baby was doing and back to looking forward to what was next in our journey. Tammy was a one-of-a-kind nurse that night and I can only assume that comes from being a one-of-a-kind nurse daily.
