The day before C's first chemo appointment, I had a colonoscopy scheduled from three months earlier (because that's what we do, preventative medicine, colonoscopies, and mammograms). C went with me and we were talking to the nurse who was taking care of me and it came up that C was starting her treatment the next day... well this nurse who we never met before or knew anything about us, did something that just really touched us. Later that day there was a flower arrangement that was delivered to us with a note attached. This nurse did not know us or owe us anything and could've very easily just let us go and walk out of her life but instead, she chose to go above and beyond and try to do something that could make us have a better day prior to C's treatment- it is this kind of thing that gives you faith and hope in others.
