Tara is a new nurse still in training on our CVOR team. We had an emergency aortic dissection come from the ER. Many staff members helped get the case started, but Tara stayed after hours to help circulate a difficult and intense case. In addition to helping circulate, she ran to the blood bank for products (i.e. ffp, platelets, plasma, and blood) on several occasions. This was necessary because there was no evening orderly and the main OR was also extremely busy. Even though Tara is in orientation, her attention to critical situations and willingness to be a team player make her a valuable asset to the heart room staff. Keep up the good work!
