I would like to nominate Tara Linehan for the prestigious and honorable DAISY Nurse Leader Award. GP3 appreciates Tara’s exceptional work as our educator. Tara’s approachable and supportive nature makes a profound difference in our staff’s day. Just knowing that she is always available and willing to tackle any of the nurses' challenges is a relief to our staff. Her calmness and competence bring immense reassurance to all of us.
Tara’s encouragement and dedication to helping our staff grow, both personally and professionally, are truly inspiring. It’s clear to everyone that she genuinely enjoys her role as an educator. Tara’s sense of humor, coupled with her ability to remain composed in difficult situations, creates an environment where our nurses feel supported and motivated to reach their full potential.
Tara’s commitment to finding answers, even when she is faced with unfamiliar questions or situations, is a testament to her dedication. Nurses who make meaningful differences in patient care truly stand out. They consistently demonstrate exceptional skills and compassion, and Tara Linehan exemplifies this in every way. As the Nurse Educator for GP3, Tara has significantly shaped the development of those who seek her guidance.
For new nurses, learning and navigating unfamiliar tasks can be daunting, but Tara is always there to offer a helping hand and guide us through challenging situations. On one particular occasion, a patient required a "Graded Challenge." There was uncertainty among the nurses, but with just one phone call, Tara was on hand to assist. She not only explained the protocol clearly but also stayed by my side throughout the entire process, ensuring everything was done correctly and providing reassurance.
Beyond her technical expertise, Tara is a driving force in encouraging nurses to advance their careers. She helped me register for the Med-Surg certification exam and continues to encourage me to pursue further education, including obtaining my master’s degree. I genuinely don't know where I would be without Tara’s unwavering support and guidance.
