I was admitted to Labor and Delivery during a hectic time for the floor as they were understaffed and had many laboring mothers. Tawni was assigned to our family and right away she made me and my husband feel so comfortable in her care. During labor my daughter's status was not the greatest and Tawni had such a cool and calming demeanor I never felt scared or nervous for mine or my daughter's health. After several attempts to stabilize my daughter's heart rate, the medical team decided to prepare us for a cesarean section. It was at the end of Tawni's shift and she had completed report to the oncoming nurse. However, she stuck around until we were wheeled back to the OR. I felt so comfortable with Tawni and I cannot thank her enough for the compassion she showed us during an uneasy time.
