I can't say enough good things about this nurse. She was able to gain my trust easily and motivated me to get up and do some walking. In the night, (I'm afraid to be alone in the dark), she helped calm me and take a breath and understand the people there were here to help me and I would not be hurt. She never had any questions of me about why I was feeling panicked, she didn't want me to talk about my trauma unless I wanted to. It felt as though she has had a lot of trauma-informed care and she used it well. I can't explain one certain incident because it was a combination of many. The kind, but firm way she cared for me and helped me so much. She never gave up on me and wouldn't let me give up on me. Just a very special person.
