Each time, she stood directly next to me, holding my arm and reassuring me.  I knew I was in good hands.
Terri was assigned to me as a nurse in the recovery area of the EP/Ablation Lab.  As Terri's patient, I strongly feel she met all the necessary requirements to be considered for this award.  I developed a severe reaction in recovery and Terri reassured me it was a reaction to the anesthesia and that she would help me.  She sprang into action immediately bringing me many, many warm blankets and even wrapping my head in a warm blanket.  She worked quickly, reassuring me at every turn.

During my recovery, I developed pain in my right arm, and Terri was most attentive to this problem.  She employed several methods to relieve the pain and never gave up until the pain lessened.  Each time, she stood directly next to me, holding my arm and reassuring me.  I knew I was in good hands.

When I looked up the word "professional" in the dictionary, it was as if Terri administered every quality of a professional to a tee.  I can attest to the fact that Terri exhibited care and compassion during all moments of my care and consistently reassured me.  She never left my side.  Truly an Extraordinary Nurse!

I felt confident that Terri was always advocating for me with the doctors who were in charge and involved in my care.  She knew there was a problem and never waivered in her communication to get me help.

I watched Terri effectively communicate to the doctors, her co-workers and to me.  Her communication skills demonstrated that she had a command for what was needed and communicated that information.  There was never a time when I spoke to Terri that I felt she was not listening.  She heard me and acted and reacted.

I will never forget Terri and the remarkable care she gave me.  Terri is a fantastic nurse!  I consider myself very fortunate to have been in her care!
