K served our country during the Vietnam War and was a proud veteran. Thomas knelt down by K's bedside when he was no longer able to respond. Thomas thanked him for serving his country and for the freedom we enjoy. Thomas said to K that it was an honor and privilege to care for him. It meant a lot to see such a young man honor a veteran. This is just one of many caring compassionate acts Thomas did for K and our family.
