Todd was gentle and kind and clearly concerned about my mother's welfare, comfort, and health. He looked her in the eye and always called her by name when he spoke to her. She responded to his empathy and kindness. He made sure she was moved often and was diligent in taking care of any sores that formed. I think Todd embodies the compassion that helps patients heal.

Todd went above and beyond to provide necessities and wants for Mom and treated her with love and respect, as well as our family. He treated us like we were his family. I don't know how we could have made it through this without him. He made it somehow bearable.

During a week-long hospital stay, my mom, who has terminal cancer battled pneumonia. We had a couple of different nurses over the course of her stay and one really stood out to us. Todd was an amazing blessing to us during a very difficult time for my family. He was extremely kind, compassionate, and caring while also humble. He was very informative and took extra time to explain her situation to us which helped us feel at ease. We needed that. We are heartbroken over Mom's illness and his demeanor and character shined through and truly helped us to make hard decisions and feel confident we were doing the best thing for my mom. Nurses like him are rare and so greatly needed when a family is in distress like ours was. Our hearts were warmed by his desire to put his patient first the way he did with my mom.

Todd was my mom's nurse for 2 days and we were all greatly impressed by his skill and gentle care. My mom had excellent care her entire stay, but his attentiveness and sensitivity to my mom's anxiety issues made his care stand out as exceptional! We never felt like he hadn't checked on her in a while - in fact, I don't remember her ever needing to use her call button while in his care. He did a great job answering our questions or finding out answers for us in a timely manner. We were glad he was going to have time off, but we were sad to lose him as our nurse.

During the entire hospitalization, Todd has shown compassion and dedication to his patient. He takes the extra time to adjust bedding/positioning/comfort. He has also made sure family members are informed and comforted. He not only does his job as a nurse but ensures he is treating patients and families as human beings which can be difficult when you do it all day long. He asks questions about the patient to stay informed but also shows an interest in their lives. It's never easy watching a family member suffer, but he does what he can to ease it for all patients. I don't know how we would have made it without him.
