Traci and I worked in the same clinic for a short time together, as she was covering for our nurse while she was out on maternity leave. During that relatively short period of time, Traci changed so many lives, absolutely for the better. We'd had difficulty reaching one family in particular and needed them to come in for a follow-up visit and weight check. Traci diligently persisted and reached the family and then undoubtedly found a way to bring them into the office, that very day. The timing and persistence were crucial with this vulnerable adult/child and Traci delivered the utmost nursing and patient care.
After discussing the patient's severe weight loss and possible abuse/neglect with the doctor, Traci notified authorities. Traci demonstrated Saint Alphonsus' mission, vision, and core values every step of the way and made sure the patient received the nurturing and healing treatment they needed at the clinic and the hospital (That day! Zero hesitation). Traci undeniably played a huge role in saving a child's life that day and she inspires others around her every single day.
