A patient with a chronic illness was walking in Central Park, New York City when he saw a physician who works in the Clinic. He wanted help with his appointments, medication refill, and referrals. The physician gave the contact information of Ms. Trichelle Philips, RN to the patient, and advised him to reach out to her.
The patient contacted Trichelle and Ms. Philips coordinated all of the patient's referrals, prescription refills to the pharmacy and ensured that he received his medical appointment. Ms. Philips went out of her way to make sure that patient understood all the instructions and information that was given to him.
The patient was very appreciative of Ms. Philips' effort and her compassionate caring ways that he decided to write a letter of commendation to Ms. Philip's Supervisor informing her superior on how helpful and pleasant Ms. Philips was she assisted him with his referrals, appointments, and medications. The patient mentioned that he applauded her efforts and her communication skills.
