She made me feel comfortable in a way that I didn’t even know I needed or was possible.
My husband and I were devastated to learn he had pancreatic cancer. He had just retired three days prior, and we were not expecting this news. We were both nervous about his chemo treatments. During my husband's chemo treatment, Tricia reviewed all the safety issues with the chemo agenda and ensured my husband understood the treatment and the safety issues to follow after discharge. She verified my husband's understanding by having him repeat the information to her. She stopped by often to ensure he tolerated the chemo and offered to get him crackers or a drink. I know Minoff was busy, and I was very impressed with how often she checked on both of us, always taking her time and making us feel like we were the only family on the unit that day. She is polite, soft-spoken, and has incredible listening skills. I, as my husband's wife (and I am a nurse at UH and had a lot to learn as oncology is not my background). I feel very comfortable leaving my husband to Tricia's care. On subsequent visits, if Tricia is not caring for my husband, she always stops by to ask how he is doing and if he needs anything or has any concerns.

I came into the facility for an iron infusion, and Tricia made me feel comfortable. She offered me a warm blanket, the remote control for the TV, and snacks; she turned the light off and closed the door. She made me feel comfortable in a way that I didn’t even know I needed or was possible. She was also very patient with me in starting my IV because I was scared. And because of her skill, she only had to try once. I felt so pampered, and I have never felt that before in a medical environment. She is very kind, compassionate, and patient, and I really believe that she deserves to be acknowledged as a great nurse!

My nurses, Tricia Beck and R.P., administered my iron infusion. They were so very caring and attentive to both me and my husband. They worked very well together. They were very informative and caring. I felt very safe in their experience and knowledge. I am a retired nurse with 30-plus years of experience. I could tell that both nurses were very sincere and very professional. I thank God for them. (From Husband) Tricia and R's attitudes were outstanding. Very helpful and made you feel comfortable, always smiling and very helpful. It made our stay here enjoyable. Thank you
