My grandma came in for a fall. Tyler came into the ER with a lady who was fairly new. He coached her through the steps to give grandma a shot for her pain on her behind. The way Tyler instructed her, as well as making us feel comfortable, wasn’t anything short of amazing.

Tyler stood out to me. His energy was so over the top. Excellent! With the ER being really busy he had so much patience. He checked on us as if the ER wasn’t filled. He was so attentive; my experience with Tyler gave me a different look on how affected we were with our wait time.

When it was time for discharge, my grandma's vitals weren't something I was comfortable with her leaving with. I explained that to Tyler and he offered 10 more minutes and another vital check. And he did just that. The outcome gave myself, my mom and my aunt the comfort to discharge.

Tyler also briefly talked to me about going into the nursing field and his experience which gave me mor motivation to do so. I have never, and I mean never, ran into someone who energy was so amazing. Because of Tyler, my outlook on the care at Kettering Health Dayton took an entire different turn for the better. I’ve had great care in the ER at Dayton, but I honestly thought it was because I was an employee. But no, no one knew I was an employee until halfway through my visit. I pray that God blesses Tyler with abundance and that his career takes him places he never imagined. Tyler is a true DAISY Nurse. His passion for his job shows in his work and I’ll never forget the experience he created, ever. I was shocked honestly, but this just shows there are people out there who really care for their patients and care to go far above and beyond their job. Thanks, Tyler!
