Valentina Korsunskaya-Feeney, RN

Being an RN for 25 years previously, I was fortunate to have the pleasure of having Val as my day nurse on Monday. I’ve known many, many nurses in my years of practice yet never anyone close to her! She was non-stop action, very kind, and always smiling without fail. There was nothing too challenging or inconvenient. I noticed somehow the bottom of my bedding had gotten water on it, blankets included. She had the bedding removed, to the laundry bin in the hallway and completely changed within under 4 minutes. She then helped me back in bed and get comfortable. She always remained kind and with a smile. Throughout the entire shift, I believe every call bell was answered, usually within 30 seconds or less. This mannerism and nursing skill continued throughout the 12 hours. As a nurse myself, I always strived hard to be the best for all my patients always. Yet I actually learned so much from her. Val’s non-stop pleasant and ambitious work ethic shined through like a beacon. What a pleasure it was to have her as my nurse that day!
