Vanessa is looked upon by her peers as a positive, reliable and compassionate nurse. One night a young patient was admitted to the ED. This individual had to endure a painful procedure. Vanessa explained the procedure to patient with her known compassion. She then assisted the patient's younger sister to the nurse's station to print out coloring pages and acquired crayons. Vanessa used her creativity in a difficult situation to explain the procedure to her. Vanessa often volunteers her time at many community events and is planning to becoming a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE).
