Victor has exhibited extraordinary clinical skills as well as unrelenting compassion. We had a complicated patient who had high hopes for a heart transplant. Due to multisystem involvement, other complications and advancement of a tumor, a heart transplant was no longer an option after months of hope. The patient and his significant other had great difficulty during this time period. Victor showed constant support and always delivered compassionate care. He sat at the patient's bedside no matter how busy the day was and it always appeared that this was his only patient. At the end of the patients journey, his significant other thanked Victor for always listening and made the situation they were in somewhat bearable for them.
