Tori's care and concern for me made me feel good knowing she was a nurse who loved her job as a nurse.

I was admitted in Piedmont. I was having dizziness, headache, and vomiting problems. I was assigned to the third floor. As soon as I was brought up from the ER Tori was in my room to get me settled. When I first saw her, I knew she was a great nurse by how she introduced herself to me and my husband.

Even though her computer was down that didn't stop her from doing my medicine and medical history so I could be taken care of. I hadn't had any food and had missed lunch. She made sure I didn't go without eating by fixing what was available on the floor and got in touch with the cafeteria so I could be scheduled for dinner. Tori's care and concern for me made me feel good knowing she was a nurse who loved her job as a nurse. Tori loves people and her personality and positive attitude make a big difference in helping patients recover. Anything I asked her to do was always done and at a good time with a smile. Any question I asked, was answered and explained so I could understand. She went over all the medications I was taking.

Tori reached out to the doctor when I needed extra medication that was not on my order. I have lots of experience with nurses, I can say Tori stood out among all the others. I had a food table that made a lot of noise. She told me she would get me another one. I thought she had gone home but, right at the end of her shift, she made sure I got another table. Tori goes above and beyond for her patients and their families. Piedmont is fortunate to have her on their nursing staff. She had earned to be recognized for the DAISY Award.
