The highlight of my wonderful experience as a visitor was when I met Vivean, who worked diligently at her tasks at the nurse's station on my sister's floor. Vivean, in spite of her work at hand, working alone, gave me and my sister her undivided attention each and every time we requested it. She responded each time with genuine friendliness, empathy, kindness and efficiency. I interrupted her for information about the nearest fried chicken joint, my sister had an urge for wings. I interrupted her to get a blanket and pillow for myself when I decided I would spend the night with my sister. Vivean showed me the kitchen where I could fill the water container I was carrying. As she attended patients, giving medications, etc. I waited for her to be available again to discuss my sister's lack of ability to sleep properly during bedtime, which was new information for me. Vivean placed me at ease. She also came to the room and assured my sister she would help her in her effort to sleep better. My sister even commented favorably about the care she had that entire day, she was pleased. In the early morning, there was Vivean, spry as ever offering her services and services she did render with the same genuine involvement. She continued to display genuine kindness, friendliness, empathy and efficiency. Thank you Vivean for caring for my sister and being so accommodating.
