After working her hard 12-hour night shift, Vivian went to McDonald’s, got a sausage biscuit, and hand-delivered it to the patient.
Vivian came to our organization with a chance to find happiness. She’d been drugged through the dirt working as a COVID nurse at her last facility and was wanting a change. She needed something to spark her passion for nursing again. Ever since she’s been on A5, we only hear great things about her. She came in and meshed with the night shift and all the different personalities. One specific story about Vivian that sticks out is one of her patients was able to eat regular food after being NPO and she craved a sausage McMuffin from McDonald’s. After working her hard 12-hour night shift, Vivian went to McDonald’s, got a sausage biscuit, and hand-delivered it to the patient. Vivian doesn’t live nearby, and she took the time to fill that patient’s cup with a small gesture of kindness. I found it to be very selfless and that’s just one memento that the patient got to take with her when leaving this hospital. Vivian cares like family and it shows in her work.
