Wen-Tzu has been working in the surgical ward for over 4 years, she is earnest, considerate and prudent while providing the warmest care to the patients. Several patients and families praised Wen-Tzu for her remarkable nursing techniques. For example, a patient admitted for injections of Cerebro protein was fearful of the pain, so Wen-Tzu diverted her attention from the injection through conversation using open-ended questioning. During the process of medication administration, Wen-Tzu tried to minimize the patient's discomfort by discussing with the attending physician to prolong the injection time. Moreover, when Wen-Tzu learned that the patient was unstable and moody during hospitalization, she put her job aside to listen and let the patient feel secure by touching both of her hands. The patient gave positive feedback to Wen-Tzu saying that she always treated the patients like her family and takes care of them thoughtfully. She also thanked her for encouraging her to continue rehabilitation and daily self-care after discharged from the hospital. Wen-Tzu is, without doubt, a role model for all the nurses!
