During the recent evaluation period Wendy was given a goal to participate in or organize an event w/ MCNA or MCHS overall. Wendy is a wonderful, energetic person and truly enjoys such events. However, Wendy went above and beyond what was expected. She worked closely with Chaplain, Collette Smith, and organized a shoe and sandal drive to benefit MCHS outreach program. Wendy designed and distributed flyers to MCNA colleagues, placed containers for collecting shoes and sandals in accessible locations and promoted the event by discussing it frequently with her colleagues. At the close of the event she arranged to have a potluck for the colleagues to celebrate, including bringing snacks designed as shoes. She collected an abundance of shoes and sandals which she provided to the outreach mobile coach to distribute. MCNA is proud to have such a compassionate nurse on our team.
