My daughter had pneumonia with chickenpox and has a mild learning disability. Wendy was outstanding with her. Explained everything without making her feel dumb. Outstanding bedside manner and nursing ability. Here's the thing - Wendy quite possibly saved my life.
We had my father's funeral the day before my daughter was hospitalized. I had no sleep, no blood pressure medicine, which I told no one including her. I was about to literally collapse. Wendy knew something wasn't right. I was not going to say anything, but she ordered me to get some rest. Very gently she got me down to the family room, got blankets, pillows, and water. She calmed my soul so I could rest. She did not have to do this. I was not her patient; my daughter was.
Every room was filled with sick people who needed Wendy more than me, but she prevented a major medical incident. All the nurses have been outstanding. Whatever happens, I will never forget Wendy. She saved our lives! Great job Wendy! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
