Ysable Vega, RN

Ysabel exhibits teamwork every time she comes to work. She will jump in and help without being asked; she anticipates needs, and she never expects gratitude. She is an exceptionally hard worker with a very positive attitude. She helps with the little things without seeking recognition. During one particularly busy day, she noticed my frustration with overflowing trash cans and quietly emptied them.

Ysabel is the nurse that we all strive to be. Quality, compassion, and care are her baseline. She treats her patients just as she would her family. She takes the time to get to know them, to listen to them, to listen to their families, to learn their needs, and to address them appropriately.

Ysabel is very smart and a very skilled nurse. There is no assignment that she cannot handle, yet what makes her extraordinary is the manner in which she exhibits this skill--in a compassionate manner. She pays attention to the details, treating people with humanity that puts them at ease.
