Our father can be difficult, but Yvette was so kind to him as well as our family.
I would like to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude to a very special nurse. Yvette was our father's nurse when he was in the ICU. Our father can be difficult, but Yvette was so kind to him as well as our family. She is the total package, kind, empathetic, and knowledgeable. Our father has been stubborn his whole life. Yvette had a way of doing things for him that made him still feel like he was still in control of his outcomes and his care. It's like she knew what he needed and how to present things to him.

At night, he didn't ever sleep well in the hospital (but who does) but Yvette was there for him all through the night. She sat with him, she made sure he was physically and emotionally comfortable. She is just superior. It didn't take long for my family to also notice that Yvette is the "go-to" for the nighttime shift. She is there for all nurses, answering questions, and dealing with hospital issues all at the same time as providing some of the most fantastic care to our father that I think he has ever received. Thank you, Yvette.

***

Yvette has always been one to perform beyond minimum standards. She covers roles as ICU Staff RN, ICU clinical coordinator, House supervisor, and cath lab and has also assisted with various roles to cover OB. Yvette covers shifts not only during the day but will flip back and forth to cover nights as well. No matter what role she covers and what shift, she always does an amazing job. She will step up and help with any committee, event, or task. She delivers the best care to all her patients. She sat with a patient one night because he was confused and scared. Having her there was a great comfort to this patient. She has many years of experience and knows how to support her patients and their families. She is the "go-to" person for staff and physicians. They trust her and she offers a positive influence on all the nurses. She does everything because she cares from the bottom of her heart.
