Zack Abercrombie, RN

The acuity on the unit was high and busy. Zach noticed that one of his patients did not look right and was acting differently than the previous shift. It's not typical for patients to be medically unstable. Zack reassessed his patient while another was having physical /verbal aggression towards staff & other patients. He got his violent patient safely subdued while expediting the transfer of his physically ill patient to ER where the patient was found in septic shock. He was treated in ER & transferred to ICU. His tenured assessment skills are amazing. He surely saved this patient's life while making sure his other patient and staff were safe. I feel blessed to call him my co-worker.
