I went to the emergency room and was admitted after a few hours to monitor my diverticulitis. The infection I had originally come in for a few days prior, had gotten worse. I developed an abscess and pus pockets. This caused me to have unbearable excruciating pain. Early morning, I was introduced to my new nurse. She was so kind during the intake process, and I truly felt like she cared. She noticed how hard it was for me to move and get around. She demonstrated so much patience and concern for me. She was there helping me out and rooting me on, keeping me in good spirits even though I felt like crap. I can tell she is that way with all her patients. She consistently came to check on me. I’ve never encountered a nurse like her...EVER. She was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the different things happening to me and how I could try to prevent them in the future. I loved that she would inform whoever came to help me about my condition and pain so that they were in the loop. My husband was very concerned about my health but told me that he felt comfortable knowing she was taking care of me. I really would love her to be recognized for her amazing compassion and impeccable work ethic. She is truly a Gem that should be cherished because there aren’t many Zulys out there.
