My daughter, K, was in the NICU for a few weeks during the month of December. My winter holidays didn't quite go as planned - I had my daughter over a month early and spent some time in the hospital due to medical issues. During that time, your nursing staff in the NICU really helped me to get through it all and did a wonderful job. There was one nurse who really stood out, that nurse was Raz. She was so patient and kind with both my husband and I. We really were hoping to take K home before Christmas but weren't promised anything and were sad but hopeful. We came in to visit K one night and Raz, having met us on a prior night, had immediately greeted us and helped to set up K for Christmas photos in case we didn't get to have her home on Christmas. She was full of kindness and had the holiday spirit - we were all smiles that night and took the best pictures to remember the holidays with K. Not only did she go out of her way with the Christmas photos for K but she sat and spent a lot of time with us in the prior days showing us methods on how to properly care for our preemie baby that we use to this day. Never once did we feel like a bother when we asked the same question or had to be shown more than once.
Raz is a true asset to Methodist Hospital!
