Regina has touched our lives in so many ways. We met Regina before we were moved to the CCU when my fiancé had to have heart surgery. I was so scared for him to have the surgery, I was crying and very nervous. Most nurses would have walked away, but not Regina she sat with me and explained things I didn't understand. She also told me we had a great team of doctors and nurses in our corner. She gave me lots of comfort when nobody else could.
My fiancé was in the CCU for three nights, but then we moved back to PCU and guess who was waiting on us, Regina! My fiancé was not very pleasant to work with he was in a lot of pain after his surgery. Regina would sit at the edge of his bed and talk with him. She explained everything she was doing and everything that had been done. She took time when I knew she was very busy and just listened. Regina would sit and listen to his 30-minute stories when she didn't have to. She put a smile on not only our faces but the faces of our family. She would also answer their questions. They all knew how patient she was with D, which meant everything to us. When I felt I was needing a break or not understanding what he needed, Regina did, and always explained things in a way I could understand. What stands out the most about Regina is that she is caring for her patients as if she is taking care of her own family. She's understanding and doesn't do all of the talking, she listens well. Regina was never in a hurry or judgmental towards my fiancé. She related to us and made our stay at the hospital better. Thank you for your care, Regina.
