Jackie has been a charge RN on 4 West for over 2 years and has been a great resource, as well as a clinical leader to all the nurses on the unit. Her patients and their families love her attitude and commitment, which is most evident from all the positive comments that we receive. Jackie is a great preceptor, as well as a mentor to all the new nurses.
In recent days, Jackie has shown extraordinary spirit in volunteering to work only on the COVID floors, when we had challenges assigning RNs to these floors. Jackie has also been assisting us and the AHNs with rapid responses on other COVID floors. Additionally, she has also offered to work extra shifts during the COVID pandemic. Further, any time Jackie is the charge RN, the AHNs are relieved, as they know the unit workflow will be seamless. It is a pleasure to work alongside her. She truly is the epitome of what a nurse should be.
