I am writing on behalf of a patient who was in the pediatric ED. This patient had been in the ED for over 28 hours awaiting placement at a psych facility. Molly came to work at 7 pm and found out that someone forgot to order him dinner. This patient was special needs and preferred certain foods and did not want the food that was available to him at that time of the day. He would only eat hamburger patties and macaroni and cheese. Molly used her personal uber eats and had a meal ordered, paid for, and given to the patient in no time. This is only one example of what Molly does for her patients.
I can remember a few months ago when a child arrived after a car accident to the ED. When it was time for the child to be discharged, Molly gave the mother her own child's car seat so that the child would be protected. The patient's car seat was unusable due to the accident. The mother was very appreciative and let Molly know that she did not have any money to buy a new one at this time. Thank you, Molly, for your great service to these children!
