My father-in-law was eating his dinner late after having a procedure to drain fluid from his lungs when he started to choke. I told my husband to get help. He told a girl in the hall. She came and looked and strolled out, she said to get a suction machine. When she wasn't coming, I ran into the hall and called Gina who was down the hallway. She ran in and took control. She did all she could, Heimlich maneuver and assistance from another nurse sitting him up and forward. When the suction machine came, she suctioned and called everyone she needed to help him. Had she not taken immediate action, the outcome could have been so different. We can tell she truly cares about her patients and cares about doing an excellent job.
