Jeannie Jacobs is an excellent nurse with superior clinical skills and compassion. Recently, she had a patient who came to the ED who needed admission. The patient came in walking and talking, but then had a critical event and ended up on a ventilator for a lengthy stay in the ICU. It took several days to find a guardian or family for the patient. She knew the patient was worried and he asked her to feed the cats. She made sure the cats were okay while the patient was ill. Jeannie often calls to check on her patients, showing continued care and compassion. She is the type of nurse any nurse can look up to.

Jeannie has come and gone from the Emergency Department a few times and she always comes back home. Jeannie is a vital part of our ED team. She comes to work, does the right thing for her patients, and always offers to support the team with which she works. Jeannie always is an active participant in one group or another. Currently, she has done an amazing job with our Sepsis education. She attended an all-day Sepsis conference and created an educational power point presentation to share with our team. Jeannie is a dedicated member of our Emergency Department and we are happy to have her as a part of our team.
