Elizabeth, or “Liz” as her patients and coworkers call her, was nominated for the DAISY Award by the daughter of a patient. The nomination read,
“All through the hard time of losing my mother, Liz was by our sides. She was our day shift nurse for a majority of the days. She was always very considerate. She went above and beyond her required duties to make sure both her patient and our family were taken care of and didn’t need anything. We very much appreciated her. It is very helpful to have a great nurse during this time.”
When presenting Liz with this honor, River Park Hospital’s Chief Nursing Officer Kenneth Ware said, “That nomination sums it up great and describes exactly the qualities a DAISY Award Nurse should embody.”
Patient, compassionate, professional, courageous and passionate are all adjectives used to describe Liz and the rest of the nursing staff at River Park. We are proud to have nurses like Liz caring for our patients and their loved ones.
