Stacey is an exemplary nurse. She goes above and beyond every single day to provide perfect care to her patients. She has recently been requested by a family to take care of their loved one in Sierra ICU several times. On the patient's birthday, she got him balloons and helped the family celebrate on the unit. The patient has a passion for flying and is a pilot. Stacey went to the Reno Air Races, purchased a keepsake book, and obtained signatures and words of encouragement from numerous pilots out at the airfield. She then presented the book full of signatures to the patient. The patient's wife told me that all of the nurses on the unit were angels, but "Stacey really stands out above the rest." Stacey exhibits caring, compassion, integrity, and excellence in everything she does. She is always looking for ways to help patients and their families receive the best care and experience possible. She has a huge heart and always puts the patients and families first. She is truly deserving of the DAISY Award.
