Toni is one of a kind nurse. She radiates compassion even when she is busy or in a stressful situation. She made sure not only was the patient cared for, but she also did what she could do to make sure the patient's mother was okay and understood what was going on.
Toni is eager to learn in order to provide the best care to her patients. Her patient had been not feeling well and had been irritable all day and within 10 minutes of Toni being on shift, she had addressed all concerns and had the patient smiling and laughing.
Toni works incredibly well with a team and worked with the Pittsburgh transplant team to make sure she was doing everything to aid in smooth post-op recovery. She was kind and welcoming and showed so much love for her work and her patients. She is a wonderful role model for nurses, has a kind soul, willingness to help all and work in a team, a desire to learn new things in order to provide best- practice care, and has strong clinical knowledge and skills.
