I went in for cardiac ablation. Kameron took excellent care of me. She listened to my concerns and I complained a lot! I had to lay still for 6 hours. I have arthritis in my hips, and she positioned me with a pillow under my hip to help alleviate some of my pain. She even brought me a coffee to help with a headache I had for 2 days after Tylenol didn't work. She was very empathetic, and I feel she went above and beyond to take care of me.
Then not only did Kameron take care of me, but she also took care of my husband! We came back on Friday and my husband had a cardiac cath and ended up getting 2 stents. He has very large arteries and they went through his wrist. In the past, he had major bleeding in the same area after the compression bandage was removed. Kameron took that information and used it in how she cared for his cath site. She released "the air" slowly over a 2 to 3-hour span to reduce the possibility of major bleeding again. She waited to take him for his walkabout halfway through this process. She was very thorough and methodical in her process of care.
You could tell that Kameron actually cares about her patients. She even used some humor to lighten the situation. I wish all nurses had the same attitude and demeanor and genuine caring of their patients. She was fabulous. Her care was beyond the norm.
