Amanda stayed over an hour after her shift was over to make sure a patient on our unit was able to go up and see her baby in the NICU. She took the patient upstairs and stayed with her then brought her back downstairs after the patient was able to hold her baby for a while. Amanda demonstrated compassion and selflessness and helped our patient have important bonding time with her baby.
