Amanda is currently enrolled in the BSN program at EMU, while being the backbone of her family. She has been a nurse since 2005 and employed with OHS since 4/2008.
Amanda's Clinical Manager, Ericka Champion said the following:
She is truly a compassionate, caring, intelligent nurse who gives 100% to each and every patient. The feedback that I receive from patients sometimes brings tears to my eyes when they speak of the care that Amanda has provided and how much of a positive impact she has made on their lives. She is with patients for a short while, but leaves a lasting impression. I have seen many patients come back to our unit looking for Amanda to thank her once again for her care, even months later! Amanda's peers admire the care that she gives to her patients as well, she is a nurse's, nurse.

I can't begin to explain in words what this women did for me during the delivery of my daughter 3 weeks ago. From the time I walked through the door to being induced, until she wheeled me to my recovery room, she stood by my side with such love and care that I haven't been able to stop thinking about her since.
She is truly an angel and made my birth experience so memorable. Even though the father of my baby could not be there due to work, I never once felt alone thanks to Amanda. I felt like I had known her my whole life with the devotion and care she gave to me.
She held my hand when I was scared and celebrated with me as a new life began. Saying goodbye to her that day broke my heart. She deserves all the thanks I can give because I will never forget her and everything she did for me on that day.
God blessed me with an angel the day he brought her into my life and I could not be more thankful that he did. Thank you Amanda, your footprint will always be left on my heart. Never forget what a difference you make in the lives of everyone you meet.

Amanda was extremely friendly, and very helpful with everything. Anything I needed, she was taking care of and right there when I needed her. She did everything in her power to keep me comfortable and happy. She was amazing, and I can't thank her enough for all the support and work she put in to keep me more than satisfied with my stay at the hospital.
