Tammy inspires me every day with her energy and passion for our Neonatal population; she does some of the most difficult work with a smile or reverence as the situation calls.Tammy uses critical thinking resulting in positive outcomes for the NICU's most challenging patients' home needs, specifically our trach/vent population. She is so thoughtful, compassionate and caring in all situations, especially when she takes the time to go over the expectations on discharge, which can be very challenging for our trach/vent patient families.
Tammy always has a positive attitude; she is my role model for professionalism, and she collaborates and communicates effectively with interdisciplinary team members in all her interactions - fromNeonatologists,to Dietitians, to Environmental Services.
Tammy consistently strives to go above and beyond expectations of her role, specifically on a spiritual level; at times when I am challenged by some of our most vulnerable populations, she knows just what to say to help me put our work into perspective.
I will always be thankful to Tammyfor mentoringme as Itransitionedintothe NICU Case Management role; she has been there time and again to cheerfully answer questions; she has educated me and supported my growthasaCase Manager by providing great feedback on my performance.
When I think of our Values of Integrity, Purpose, and Collaboration, I think of Tammy; she epitomizes all of these every day in her work.
