I am POA of my mom, a patient at the University of Chicago for her second round of treatments. After being admitted twice with several tests and an MRI, she was found to have another issue. Bill Marsack came to our family's aid on many occasions. He was not only polite, professional, ethical and provided uncompromising patient service, but he saw what was needed and intervened. At one point, he came in to converse with me about a situation and experienced my mom's condition deteriorating just moments after she was able to articulate clearly.
Bill deserves this recognition; his staff is just as amazing as he is. He was readily accessible, his tranquil personality and amazing willingness to listen as a patient advocate sets him apart. We appreciate all the assistance he afforded us. He is a rock star and is such a phenomenal asset to the University of Chicago team of medicine. We salute Bill on being all that's noticed, but most importantly, all that goes unnoticed.
