Very early upon my admission however, I identified a particular nurse who made me feel very privileged, Carlyn. I truly believe that when this young lady entered the world, she was instantly touched by a "loving angel" nurse upon her delivery, who magically passed her gift to baby Carlyn.
I have unfortunately been hospitalized several times during the past few years and am intimately familiar with hospital procedures and disciplines the staff must operate under.
During the performance of her functions, I was overly pleased to see the grace and care with which Carlyn operated under. She functioned with authority and confidence well within the protocols trusted on her as a nurse, yet with an indescribable special grace that only very few are blessed with. She consistently stayed ahead of her game and paid precise attention to every detail of my special care.
Even though she clearly had a busy schedule tending to several patients, she never once failed to come by to take care of me at the very minute she promised and truly made me feel like I was the only patient under her care. As if this was not enough, she even bought flowers on her way to work for my wife on Mother's Day, as I was stuck in bed. Carlyn has a great level of devotion, compassion, and kindness enhanced with great character whereas she made me feel like a family member.
Sadly enough, in our busy world, people have high expectations and easily complain but few ever say thank you. Today, not only I am compelled to say thank you, but express my highest gratitude to this fine nurse. It is my sincere opinion that Carlyn is a valuable asset to Sky Ridge with huge advancement potential.
