When I had trouble communicating with the nurse, the charge nurse came in and took the time to allow me to spell out my words so my needs could be met. I was so frustrated with the inability to communicate and she really helped me.
She is an excellent charge nurse: competent, compassionate, professional and very helpful to the nurses and patients. Words are not enough to express my gratitude. Even how busy we are, she is always there to lend a helping hand (such as help with admissions or answer the call light) or if you have a difficult patient she is there to intervene. Kaiser is so lucky to have her and I am lucky to work with her.
