Nina was very compassionate towards my mother, the patient, and especially my father. She took the time to hear what he said and gave him time to express himself whenever he had concerns and spoke on my mother's behalf.
Nina was very empathetic towards my mother and the family. She conveyed her concerns to the physicians and listened and responded appropriately when in conversation.
By responding to my dad's concerns for my mother, Nina was able to gain the trust of my father. She understood that because my parents had been married for over 62 years that he was genuinely concerned about her comfort and wellbeing.
Nina was very admirable with the way she responded to the care of my mother. She was open to our thoughts, opinions, and concerns when it came to the care of my mother in her last days on earth.
Nina showed her love for patients and nursing by her actions and quick responsiveness. When questions or concerns were addressed, she was always quick to respond and knew where to find the answers or assistance should she need it from her nursing team.
Nina continually put the needs of her patient ahead of herself. She spent a lot of time with our family and gave us 'her all' with her responsiveness and concerns.
Thank you, Nina, for your compassion toward our mother, wife, sister, and friend. You are truly a blessing to have in the field of nursing. Nursing is much more than a job to you and it shows.
