Just a couple examples why Jon deserves the DAISY Award :

A patient who was confused and combative was brought to the ER. A few of the staff attempted to calm him but he continued to get worse. Jon approached him in a calm, pleasant manner and spoke to him until he calmed down. The patient’s family arrived and were upset also, but Jon and other staff spoke with them and explained what was being done. They felt safe and cared for.

Jon uses kindness and compassion with all patients/visitors. He recognizes their differences and allows them their dignity. He always provides quality care and is a stellar example of great nursing at JMC.

Jon is an excellent RN ready and willing to help at all times. Taking on full assignments and also being “Charge Nurse” in the ER. He always has a great attitude and is a pleasure to work with.

Jon is one of the ER night shift Charge Nurses. He always takes an assignment when the unit is busy. He is always willing to help the other RNs with high acuity patients. Jon treats everyone with dignity and respect.
