Margie came to our ED approximately 2 years ago. She works hard from the moment she arrives up until the last minute of her shift. She is an excellent clinician resource for younger nurses and an excellent patient advocate. She is always the first person to help her peers while still maintaining her own work load. She comes in early, stays late and has become very involved in our unit. She is our ENA liaison, quality care representative and clinical coach. Margie takes great pride in caring for her patients and always includes the families in discharge teaching and planning follow up care.

Patients often ask for Margie to be their nurse as she makes them feel so comfortable, "the last time" they were our patient. Margie uses her personality and humor to help her patients and coworkers feel less stressed in our often chaotic ER. I could go on and on about Margie and what a great asset she is to our ER.
