…I truly believe she is the reason I was able to deliver our son as we had multiple complications. She stayed with us and talked me through each step. After losing our son's heartbeat multiple times throughout the delivery, I was having trouble relaxing enough for my contractions to increase my dilation. Mandi explained that if I was not able to relax, my body would not be able to do what it needed to do to deliver. She walked me through how to do this as well as tried to keep me calm, reassuring me all the equipment hooked up to me and the baby was okay and would not move (I was afraid I would do something by moving when I needed to). It was very stressful and I honestly believe I would not have had the positive outcome we did if Mandi was not on duty that night. Mandi is very deserving of this award!
