Carolyn Alejandro is an exceptional assistant manager. She has been able to help staff transition from one manager to another by always staying professional. Her innovation of daily bed bound patient audits has helped prevent HAPI's. She is dedicated to nursing and is very helpful in stressful situations. She comes in when there is a staffing issue (on weekends, during winter storms, etc.). She has the ability to make patients and staff laugh in light of situations that are not the easiest to handle. Her work on the daily schedule and staffing is exceptional as she is always doing her best to staff the unit despite the shortages the unit faces. Carolyn helps motivate staff to join committees and be more involved. She herself is quite knowledgeable in almost all areas. She is not just a manager but she is a great nurse. She does not use her "leader" role as power but more so a way to build relationships and help each other on a daily basis.
