Leaders lead by example and inspire others. As a leader, Srishti Liu does just that. She inspires those around her to improve quality care and to go the extra mile for their patients. Srishti is compassionate in the care she provides and treats all patients we care for as if it were her own family lying in the bed.
IMC recently had a patient admitted who was very anxious and scared. She had been in the hospital multiple times in recent months and was very fearful of what this stay might bring. This patient's family was unable to come in to visit her and time did not allow for the primary nurse to give the patient all the time she needed. The patient became increasingly fearful, more anxious and agitated as the shift went on. Srishti took the time to sit with the patient for many hours out of her day, holding the patient's hand and helping ease her anxiety. During her visit with the patient, Srishti learned the patient enjoyed doing puzzles. The next day, which was a Saturday and Srishti' day off, Srishti came in with puzzles for the patient and sat with the patient. She spent most of her Saturday doing puzzles with the patient, comforting and easing the patient's anxiety.
