I came last night to get my foot checked out; it was really swollen due to my drug use. Nurse Preet has been nothing but pleasant and thoughtful during the time she has been caring for me. In a nutshell I was not expecting to have to stay another day and me being an addict, I became uncomfortable without my daily needs or wants. My anxiety levels were going through the roof and I wanted to leave.
Nurse Preet continued to remind me that my infection may be worse than expected and that I must stay. She did everything she could to meet my needs and calm me down. She gave me extra medicine to help make me comfortable and continued to warn me that if I left, there were possibilities of me losing my foot. Nurse Preet could have given me a paper to sign, and I'd be gone. However, she went the extra mile and didn't give up on me and met my needs. I am so grateful!
