I have been a patient here for over a month. Closer to 2 months. 3 weeks of that was in a coma. I have lived through something that nobody thought I would live through, except my nurse Monique. She believed in me from the start. Even when I couldn't see any light. She is always right here with a workable solution to any problems. Her skill level is off the charts! She is a data bank of knowledge. She is compassionate and caring and respects my feelings. It's hard being 40 years old and having to have someone wipe your butt. However, Monique seems to do it and never made me feel awkward.
I'm having to learn to eat, walk, and write. Basically, relearn everything and she has been so supportive. Even if she's not my nurse she still will make me a cup of coffee and come's to say hi. She works so hard!
